Grantsgiving 2024: Grantsapalooza
The Department of Resource Development is hosting their third annual ‘Grantsgiving’ luncheon in which they celebrate the collective achievements of their employees and their work on grant acquisition.
They wanted something that has the same over-all vibe that a Lollapalooza poster would have while still keeping a clean design aesthetic. I incorporated fun colors and a hand-drawn confetti pattern into my design which includes the symbol for gratitude.

Deciding on type and color
While working closely with the client, they determined that the “confetti” shapes would best suit their needs. We wanted a hand-drawn feel to the letter to make it more personal so I chose to use ‘Chantal’ for the body text. To match colors closely with floral arrangements, we went with a warm color palette with rich pinks, oranges, and golds. One thing that stuck out to me in their request was wanting to invoke feelings of abundance, so we chose to use the symbol for gratitude in the shapes.
